Industrial Outreach Program in Mexico

Requirements for Participation

For WVU Students:

This program is aimed at senior engineering students in good standing, for whom this will be their last summer in school. The nature of industrial projects are in the context of industries such as: automotive, aerospace, electronics, domestic appliances, industrial equipment, machinery and manufacturing in aerospace systems.

Students must be in good standing in their senior year and must have the prerequisites to engage in Capstone Design courses in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, industrial or civil engineering.

Spanish language proficiency is desirable but not required. However, students will be required to learn basic language skills in the context of their projects in order to communicate with peers and hosts. Grades on the courses will be based on the technical merit and professional quality of materials, reports and presentations developed throughout the projects.

Non-WVU Students:

Non-WVU students from accredited institutions in good standing may participate in this program as "visiting students" during the summer. Grades for the program will be reported to WVU and credits can be transferred to other institutions.
